We need you to email members of Parliament and stand up for licenced duck hunting against the blatant misinformation being peddled by the animal rights lobby.
The misinformation campaign currently being conducted by the opponents of licenced duck hunting affects all hunters. It tarnishes our image, weakens our collective political positions and gives undue airplay and credibility to the small, but vocal animal rights lobby.
These people are absolutely on the fringes of Australian society, making up less than one percent of the population. They routinely break the law and disrupt law abiding citizens in the exercise of their intolerance, yet, they grandstand on issues like licenced duck hunting, grossly distorting and misrepresenting facts and building a platform for their radical agenda.
Licenced duck hunters must pass a rigorous Waterfowl Identification Test before going into the field. As firearms owners their details are also assessed on a daily basis to ensure that they remain fit and proper people free of criminal charges and associations.
It’s quite perverse that the crooks are masquerading as the good guys and the most regulated and law-abiding cohort of our society are painted as the villains.
