2026 Ultimate Deer Hunters Raffle — Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 September 2026

1. Promoter and purpose

The 2026 Ultimate Deer Hunters Raffle (the Raffle) is conducted by Australian Deer Association Incorporated (ADA or the Promoter), ABN 44 060 933 897, PO Box 79, Stratford VIC 3862. The Raffle raises funds for ADA’s advocacy, sustainable wild deer management, education, community engagement and work supporting the future of responsible recreational deer hunting.

2. Acceptance

By purchasing a ticket, an entrant accepts these Terms and Conditions and the applicable RaffleLink site and payment terms. These terms govern the conduct of the Raffle; RaffleLink’s terms govern use of its website and payment services.

3. Eligibility

  • Entry is open to residents of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania who are aged 18 years or over when purchasing a ticket.
  • ADA directors, committee members, officeholders, employees, members of management, anyone directly involved in conducting or drawing the Raffle, and their immediate families are ineligible.
  • Employees or contractors of RaffleLink or a prize sponsor who are directly involved in the Raffle or determination of its winners, and their immediate families, are also ineligible.
  • ADA may request proof of identity, age, residence and eligibility before awarding a prize.

4. Raffle period and tickets

  • The Raffle opens on 17 September 2026.
  • Ticket sales close at 12:00 noon AEDT on Friday 30 October 2026, unless all tickets sell earlier.
  • Tickets cost $25 each. A maximum of 2,000 tickets is available, making the maximum possible gross ticket proceeds $50,000.
  • All tickets have the same purchase price and are issued electronically through RaffleLink. No book-buyer, early-bird or seller’s prize is offered.
  • Each valid ticket has a unique number and an equal chance of being drawn. A winning ticket is removed and cannot win again. An entrant holding multiple tickets may win more than one prize if different tickets are drawn.
  • Late, incomplete, unpaid or unsuccessful transactions are invalid. Purchases are final except where a refund is required by law or the applicable RaffleLink policy.

5. Tasmanian entries

Tickets offered to Tasmanian residents are available exclusively online through RaffleLink. ADA will not accept cash or in-person sales, or issue tickets or sale acknowledgements from premises in Tasmania. If that arrangement changes, Tasmanian sales must not begin until all required permits and approvals have been obtained.

6. Prizes

The total estimated retail value of the six-prize pool is $12,125, including GST where applicable. Prizes will be drawn in descending order of value:

  1. Swarovski Optik Z8i+ 1–8x24 — $4,525
  2. Lake Eildon Houseboats Deluxe 1 stay — $3,600
  3. Moroka.30 Custom Stalker Full Kit — $1,200
  4. Stoney Creek Australia voucher — $1,000
  5. Carnivore Collective #22 Meat Mincer — $1,000
  6. Crispi Lapponia EVO GTX boots and accessories package — $800

Values are the recommended or estimated retail values supplied by the sponsors when the Raffle opens. No compensation is payable if a market value changes.

7. Draw

The draw will be conducted:

  • Date: Friday 30 October 2026
  • Time: 1:00 pm AEDT
  • Location: 25 Garo Crescent, Mount Martha, Victoria 3934
  • Method: Random electronic draw using the RaffleLink draw system

Entrants do not need to be present. The first valid ticket drawn wins first prize, the second wins second prize, and so on until all six prizes are allocated. Reverse drawing will not be used. The Raffle will not be abandoned merely because all tickets have not sold.

8. Winner notification and publication

ADA will begin contacting each winner using the details recorded with the winning ticket within two business days after the draw, and no later than two weeks after the draw. Results will be published on the ADA website and/or the RaffleLink raffle page and remain reasonably accessible. Entrants authorise ADA to publish a winner’s name, suburb and state where reasonably necessary to announce or verify the result.

9. Claiming and unclaimed prizes

A winner must provide reasonable proof of identity, age and eligibility and the information required to arrange the prize. ADA will make reasonable efforts to locate winners. An unclaimed prize will be retained for at least three months after the draw and will then be dealt with in accordance with the law applicable to the winner, including a redraw or lawful disposal where required.

10. General prize conditions

  • Prizes are not redeemable for cash and cannot be transferred, sold or assigned without the written approval of ADA and the relevant supplier.
  • Winners are responsible for expenses not expressly included in the published prize description.
  • Prizes are subject to the supplier’s reasonable booking, safety, eligibility, warranty and operating requirements.
  • Promotional images are illustrative and supplied products may differ in minor respects.
  • If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond ADA’s reasonable control, ADA may, subject to applicable law and any necessary approval, substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Special conditions — Lake Eildon Houseboats Deluxe 1

Second prize is a stay aboard Deluxe 1, supplied by Lake Eildon Houseboats and valued at $3,600 including GST. Subject to availability, the winner may choose either:

  • a three-night weekend stay from Friday to Monday; or
  • a four-night midweek stay from Monday to Friday.

The stay must be completed between 1 May and 1 November 2027. Public holidays, long weekends and Victorian school holiday periods are excluded. Preferred dates are not guaranteed, and the winner should provide several date options when booking.

Deluxe 1 accommodates up to 12 guests and includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a rooftop heated spa, Wi-Fi, Foxtel, heating and air conditioning, a full kitchen, BBQ and entertaining areas. Facilities remain subject to availability, weather, maintenance, operational conditions and the operator’s hire agreement.

Security bond: A refundable $1,500 security bond is not included in the prize and must be paid directly to Lake Eildon Houseboats as required before the stay. It will be refunded after the boat is returned, less fuel and gas used and any other amount properly payable under the operator’s hire agreement, including damage, loss, additional cleaning or late-return charges.

The prize does not include transport, parking, food, beverages, fuel, gas, optional equipment, insurance, hunting or firearm licences, permits, hunting access, guiding services or personal expenses unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

At least one guest who operates the boat must be aged 18 or over, complete the operator’s induction or learner course, demonstrate sufficient ability to drive and moor the vessel, and comply with all boating and safety requirements. All guests must comply with the operator’s occupancy, conduct, safety and environmental requirements. Pets are not permitted, except assistance animals where permitted by law and the operator.

Hunting: The prize does not include or guarantee hunting access. Any hunting is separate from the houseboat booking and is undertaken at the winner’s and guests’ responsibility. Participants must hold all required licences and permissions, hunt only in areas lawfully open at the relevant time, comply with firearm storage and transport laws, and follow the operator’s policies concerning firearms and hunting equipment aboard the vessel.

Winner-requested cancellations or date changes are subject to the operator’s policies. If the operator cancels a confirmed stay due to safety, weather, water level, maintenance or another operational issue, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange another eligible date. If that is not possible, ADA may, subject to applicable law and sponsor agreement, provide a substitute prize of equal or greater value.

12. RaffleLink and proceeds

RaffleLink, operated by Glacier Park Group Pty Ltd, ABN 61 670 432 185, provides online hosting, ticketing, payment processing and draw technology and receives a platform or service fee under its agreement with ADA. ADA remains responsible for conducting the Raffle, supplying prizes, notifying winners and complying with applicable raffle laws. No individual ticket seller receives a commission.

After reasonable and properly incurred prize and operating costs, net proceeds will be applied to ADA’s not-for-profit purposes. Where New South Wales requirements apply, not less than 40% of gross proceeds will be applied to the benefiting not-for-profit organisation.

13. Privacy

ADA and RaffleLink collect personal information to process entries, administer and verify the draw, contact winners, arrange prizes, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations. Winner information may be provided to a prize supplier where necessary for fulfilment. Marketing will only be sent where separately consented to or otherwise permitted by law. Information will be handled in accordance with ADA’s and RaffleLink’s privacy policies.

14. Changes and liability

ADA may correct an obvious administrative, typographical or technical error where doing so does not materially disadvantage entrants. ADA may postpone, suspend, amend or cancel the Raffle only where reasonably necessary and permitted by law. Any material change will be published promptly and any necessary regulatory approval obtained.
