Suwinski’s rises from the ashes

None

Daniel Mussared from the Australian Deer Association's South East Branch spent some time in October 2020 surveying the block at Suwinski’s — 10 months or so after the devastating fire in January

The charred, brown landscape of early 2020 had taken on a lovely green tinge as the vegetation began to recover.

Daniel noted that the ground was covered in growth of understorey plants like wattle and banksia and that there was plenty of sign of animals making their way back onto the bush heritage block.

Pictures show a progression of recovery from February through to May.
