Public land hunting in NSW re-opens Friday May 8....maaaaatttee

None

Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall has announced today that public land hunting will resume from Friday 8 May, with bookings open from today, as part of the easing of COVID-19 movement restrictions.

The Australian Deer Association has, and continues to advocate for hunting to be the first cab off the rank as restrictions ease. This announcement from Minister Marshall is very welcome.

Mr Marshall also announced that R-Licence holders will have the duration of their licences extended by four weeks - the same period public land hunting was suspended. For those hunters whose R-Licence lapsed during the suspension period and do not wish to renew, a pro-rata refund will also be available.

Licence holders do not need to apply for the licence extension. We’re currently working through the legislative and administrative steps to process the extension. Thanks for your continued patience – we’ll post information to our Facebook page as soon as we have it.
