New deer research begins

None

The Australian Deer Association has recently run a raffle to raise funds to finance new deer research.

Thank you to those who were able to and purchased tickets, we achieved our goal and have already started the research program.

The area of focus for the research is the Ecological separation and habitat partitioning of deer, domestic, feral, and native mammals in tropical Australian landscapes.

The first phase of this research, as standard with any scientific endeavour, is, to begin with, a literature review, in this case, defined as a Systematic review to pinpoint gaps in published and ongoing research and identify further research and projects to address these.

To do this, we have engaged three external and independent researchers from a university in southern Queensland.

As the review progresses, we will keep you up to speed, we anticipate that this will be completed by the end of 2023.
