Branch Camp – Bennies Campground

Friday 19th June – Sunday 21st June 2026
Suggested Arrival:
From 5:00 PM Friday (some members may arrive from Thursday)
Suggested Departure:
By 12:00 PM Sunday

Vehicle Access:
4WD recommended
Camp Details
Facilities:
Drop toilets are available at the campground
Self-sufficiency:
Attendees must bring their own camping gear, food, and water
Saturday Dinner:
The branch will provide a cooked meal on Saturday night
Hunting and Mentoring
Mentoring Opportunity:
Newer members may have the opportunity to hunt with experienced members, depending on availability
Blaze Orange:
Blaze orange clothing is encouraged while hunting for safety
Firearm Security:
Firearms must be locked away while in camp
A buddy system is recommended to double-check firearm handling and safety
Public Land Compliance:
This is a public land camp and hunting area – all hunting must comply with relevant public land regulations
Communication and Safety
Mobile Coverage:
There is no mobile coverage in the camp area
UHF Radio:
Use UHF Channel 24
Navigation Tools:
Garmin Rino devices are encouraged for navigation and in-field communication
Personal Responsibility:
Camp timings are a guide only. Each attendee is responsible for their own safety at all times

Offers a general store, medical clinic, and fuel
Mansfield:
91 km from camp (approximately 1 hour 35 minutes by car)
Offers petrol, IGA supermarket, Mansfield Hunting and Fishing, hospital, and full medical services
