The renowned ADA Victorian Hunter Education Course returns in 2026 to Forest Edge, Neerim East – right in the heart of sambar country.

This residential weekend program runs from 5pm Friday, 1 May to 2pm Sunday, 3 May 2026, offering an immersive learning experience that combines classroom theory with practical, hands-on field sessions.

Participants will cover a wide range of topics, including:

• Australia’s deer species and their management
• Game laws and responsibilities
• Firearm safety
• Navigation
• Tracking, stalking, and field dressing sambar
• Hunting with hounds and gundogs
• Caping, meat care, and trophy preparation
• Animal welfare and deer management in Australia’s future
