Important Information
This hunt is off-grid. Participants must be fully self-sufficient and expect limited mobile reception.
Weather conditions may be adverse or stormy.
New hunters are welcome, provided they are confident and experienced enough to safely handle firearms in the field.
Family and friends may attend. Please contact the Hunt Coordinator to discuss individual circumstances and accommodation.
Deer are regularly harvested on Branch Hunts, and additional hands will be available to assist with pack-out and butchering.
The Branch Hunt is an excellent opportunity for newer members to socialise, learn from experienced hunters, and enjoy the camaraderie of campfire discussions. While no formal education sessions are planned, evenings often provide valuable insights and practical knowledge.
Campsite Location
The intended base camp (weather dependent) will be on Powerline Road, approximately 2 km from Elliot Way.
GPS Coordinates: On application
The campsite is accessible by AWD/4WD vehicles in dry conditions. After significant rain or snowfall, a 4WD with all-terrain or off-road tyres will be required. AWD vehicles should carry snow chains, which are also effective in muddy conditions.
