Update to the hound registration process

None

As a result of two years of in-field education and compliance interactions, the Game Management Authority (GMA) has changed how a hound can be registered.

The GMA will now only accept recommendations from a Hound Assessor where the assessments have been carried out at an official event, details of which are published on the GMA website and where GMA Authorised Officers are in attendance.

PRIVATE HOUND ASSESSMENTS ARE NO LONGER PERMITTED

The Australian Deer Association plans to host several official events to enable hound owners to have their hounds registered for the upcoming hound season.

As these events are finalised, they will be advertised and communicated to the members and listed below.

OFFICIAL HOUND ASSESSMENT EVENTS

  • Tonimbuk Hall - Sunday February 26, 10 AM until 12 Noon.  1900 Gembrook-Tonimbuk Road, Tonimbuk
  • Sarsfield Recreation Reserve - Sunday May 7, 10 AM until 12 Noon. 10 School Road, Sasfield
