Research principal job at GMA

None

Victoria’s Game Management Authority is seeking a suitably qualified Research Principal to join their team.

Victoria has developed a Game Management Research Strategy following extensive consultation with a broad range of stakeholders. The strategy is now overdue for release - this document being both released and funded will be critical to the success of this new role. The development of the strategy was an action from the Sustainable Hunting Action Plan.

The Australian Deer Association provides regular accountability on the implementation of the Sustainable Hunting Action Plan.

The Research will play a key role in delivering evidence-based outcomes for the Game Management Authority.  Reporting directly to the Director Strategy and Research, the Research Principal’s role will be to drive the coordination and implementation of innovative, high-quality and effective research services in support of achieving government priorities and the Authority's objectives for sustainable and responsible game hunting.

A relevant degree in natural resource management, game or wildlife management or similar is required for this role.
