National Feral (sic) Deer Action plan draft submission
Submissions into the National Feral (sic) Deer Action plan draft closed on Monday at 5 PM.
The Australian Deer Association's submission can be found here. To read a catalogue of our submissions and advocacy work, please check out our Advocacy page.
Nearly 1,300 people submitted their concerns with the draft in its current form.
These concerns centred around the lack of recreational hunting being acknowledged in the role of deer management, the failure to recognise wild deer as a free-range sustainable food resource, and the health and social benefits provided to society by wild deer.
The Australian Deer Association will continue our advocacy program to support this submission. This is made possible by the support provided to the association by our members.
