Home from the Hill - Tom Brinkworth

None

Notable pastoralist, Conservationist and deer man, Tom Brinkworth, has passed away at his home at the iconic Water Valley Station, aged 83.

Alongside his towering legacy in agriculture (the Brinkworth family owns over a million hectares of land Australia wide, including more than 250,000 hectares in South East South Australia), Mr Brinkworth has left an indelible mark on the deer scene and for wetland conservation.

The establishment of the Wetlands and Wildlife trust over a quarter of a century ago will see Mr Brinkworth's legacy continue in perpetuity.

We extend our condolences to his wife Pat, sons Angas and Ben, and daughter Annabel and all of his extended family and friends.

Under the wide and starry sky,
Dig the grave and let me lie.
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will

This be the verse you grave for me:
Here he lies where he longed to be;
Home is the sailor, home from sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.
