Fight an attempt to kill off deer hunting in Victoria

None

In the lead-up to the Victorian Election, the Invasive Species Council has written to Victorian MPs urging them to remove the game status of deer.

If game status were to be removed, there would be a loss of public land access, in particular to National Parks for recreational deer hunting.

It would prove detrimental to the sound management of wild deer and would severely reduce the annual harvest rates.
