COVID-19 impact on Australian deer hunting survey

None

With government responses to COVID-19 stalling public land hunting in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania as well as restricting International and Interstate travel, there will, inevitably be social, ecological and economic implications for the hunting and game management sector.

Whilst hunting restrictions will likely ease at a local level in the medium term, travel restrictions could be with us for much longer.

To aid our advocacy for hunters (and that of our partners over the ditch), and to aid with input for planning and recovery, we are seeking to quantify some of these impacts.

Uncertainty is the new certainty – we don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we do know that the more we plan for recovery, the more effective we will be.

The survey will only take around three minutes to complete and we will not collect any of your personal data.
