COVID-19 Hunting in Regional Victoria

None

UPDATED 8.00pm, 4 August, 2020

The restrictions which come into place on Wednesday evening will still allow for hunters who live in regional Victoria to travel within regional Victoria to go hunting in a limited way.

Activities like hound hunting would be difficult if not impossible for most, if not all hunters under the updated restrictions.

For the most up to date advice, refer to the Department of Health and Human Services website

You can leave home for permitted exercise and recreation activities that are outdoors and can be done by yourself, members of your household, or with one other person.

This includes, fishing, hunting, boating, surfing, recreational diving, learning to drive, or reading in a park. Exercise and recreational activities should be undertaken at the closest available locations to your home.

You must be able to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others and no equipment should be shared.

You cannot travel to metropolitan Melbourne for exercise or recreational activities.

Camping is off limits.

The Mitchel Shire has COVID19 Stay at Home restrictions in place until 11:59pm Wednesday 5 August, 2020 and will then commence Stage Three Restrictions.

Hunters will appreciate that this is a dynamic situation and we urge you to keep up to date regularly as things change.

The one certainty at the moment is uncertainty.

The one constant is change.
