Matt Johnson’s great South Australian fallow buck trophy taken in 2019 is one that every committed deer would aspire to – it has great length, lots of points, great symmetry as well as the magnificent and iconic palms that characterise the species.
Matt’s fallow buck with a score of 259 1/8 Douglas points features at Number 23 in the ADA’s Top 50 for the species.
Fallow deer are the most democratic of Australia’s deer species, occurring in every state in the country, as can be seen from the Top 50 list (maybe Western Australia will feature in a future listing).
