Australian Deer Assoc. Westernport Branch Presents: Wilderness First Aid with Emma Sears

Emma Sears is an avid hunter and her professional life as a ED Registered Nurse makes her the perfect presenter for all things Wilderness First Aid. Emma will be given an overview on Chain of Surivial, CPR, calling for help (UHF, PLB, Phones, inReach etc.) and cover some possible scenarios that could confront a hunter such as phyiscal trauma from a gun shoot wound or accident with a knife, snake bites, limb and joint injuries, eye injuries, hyper / hypothmermia etc. Emma will also cover what to carry in your First Aid Kit and what common medications you should carry.
Please note: This is not a Wilderness First Aid training course but rather a general discussion in relation to first aid.
