You’re invited to a great night at the Westernport Branch’s June meeting. Catch up with fellow members, enjoy a BBQ, and hear from one of Australia’s foremost deer experts.

Evening Schedule:

• 5:30pm – BBQ and bar open
• 6:30pm – Branch update 
• 6:45pm – Guest presentation by Brett Meldrum 

With more than 23 years of bowhunting experience across NSW’s wild deer country, Brett Meldrum is a seasoned hunter whose stories and strategies resonate with both veteran hunters and newcomers alike. Known for his 62-metre red stag shot and versatile hunting style — from sit-and-wait, to grinding stealth in the scrub — Brett brings honesty, skill, and respect for land and wildlife. As rut season rolls around, he’s shared his trusted tips: rattling early, croaking later, and always keep your head up while glassing from high ground. Whether you’re chasing fallow deer or red stag, Brett’s mantra seems to be: “put in the miles, stay quiet, and let the bush speak first.”
