This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — and to help you make the most of it, you’re invited to attend the Hog Deer Hunter Education Course, hosted by the Australian Deer Association in partnership with key stakeholders.
This event delivers the ultimate hog deer hunting education experience, bringing together experts from across the field including previous successful balloted hunters, Marine Safety Victoria, the Snake Island Cattlemen Association, the Game Management Authority Victoria, and others.

The checking station process
Effective hunting techniques
Site-specific information for Snake Island, Blond Bay, and Boole Poole
Caping and butchery demonstrations
(If available, a Hog Deer Stag will be used for practical demonstrations.)
This course is designed to deepen your understanding of hog deer , hunting methods, and the logistics behind a safe and successful hunt. You’ll also have the chance to connect with other ballot winners, share insights, and build your knowledge in a relaxed and social setting.
