Event Overview

Pack the ute, dust off the camping gear and join the Australian Deer Association Central Victoria Branch for our annual Strathbogies Branch Camp.

Held at James' Camping Reserve in the heart of the Strathbogie Ranges, this weekend is a favourite on the branch calendar. Whether you're planning to spend your days hunting the surrounding State Forest or simply relaxing around the campfire with fellow members, the camp provides a great opportunity to enjoy one of Victoria's iconic hunting regions.

Last year's camp was a fantastic weekend and we're looking forward to doing it all again.

James' Camping Reserve is a free, spacious bush campground located within the Strathbogie State Forest. The reserve offers basic facilities including toilets, picnic tables and fire pits, making it an ideal base for a weekend of hunting and camping. Explore Outdoors

Camp Information

• Self-sufficient bush camping
• Hunt the surrounding Strathbogie State Forest
• Campfire each evening (subject to fire restrictions)
• Great opportunity to meet fellow members and enjoy a weekend in the bush
• Suitable for tents, swags, camper trailers and caravans

What to Bring

Participants should bring all camping equipment, food, drinking water, cooking gear and anything else required to be self-sufficient for the weekend.

Anyone intending to hunt should ensure they hold the appropriate licences and comply with all Victorian hunting regulations.
