Join the Australian Deer Association as we celebrate the life and legacy of Mike Harrison—a respected sambar hunter, passionate deer manager, dedicated mentor and tireless advocate for Australia’s deer and wild places. Friends, family, members and all those whose lives were touched by Mike are warmly invited to gather, share stories and honour his remarkable contribution to our community.

The Australian Deer Association warmly invites members, friends and the wider hunting community to join us in celebrating the life of Mike Harrison.

Mike was a passionate sambar hunter, respected deer manager, dedicated teacher and unwavering advocate for Australia’s deer and wild places. His knowledge, generosity and commitment have left a lasting impact on countless hunters and conservationists across the country.

Whether you hunted alongside Mike, learnt from him, or were inspired by his work, we welcome you to come together to remember his life, share stories and celebrate his legacy.

Free swag or tent camping is available on site.

• Unfortunately, there is no room for caravans or camper trailers.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be available from 4:00 pm, with a meal provided for all attendees.

Please BYO alcohol and consume it responsibly and in moderation.

What to Bring

Please bring:

• A camp chair
• Firewood (if possible)

Members who make cabana, salami or other smallgoods are welcome to bring samples to share. Please note there are no cooking facilities available on site.

ADA Archives

If you have photographs of Mike that you would be willing to donate to the Australian Deer Association Archives, please write your contact details on the back of each photo and hand them to Bob Gough or Neil De Coite on the day.
