The next ADA National Hunting Camp will return to the Koetong–Shelley district in North East Victoria for Camp 3 of 2026, following the success of Camp 2 at our new base. After receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, we are pleased to once again be based at the premises of Murray Valley Taxidermy & Tanning, located at:
1922 Burrowye Road, Koetong VIC
The Koetong–Shelley region offers a rugged mix of mountainous forest, open grazing country and pine plantations, providing diverse hunting opportunities across a spectacular landscape. The area supports healthy populations of sambar and fallow deer, along with smaller numbers of red deer.
While parts of the district were impacted by fires earlier in the year, extensive areas remain unaffected and continue to offer excellent hunting. Combined with outstanding facilities, knowledgeable local support and access to some of Victoria’s premier deer country, Camp 3 promises another outstanding National Hunting Camp experience.

Due to the smaller venue size, indoor accommodation capacity is strictly limited. The camp can comfortably accommodate 8 hunters per night, with a maximum of approximately 10 hunters if a small number choose to bring swags.
Accommodation is dormitory-style, with most beds located upstairs. All bedding and towels will be supplied.

Hunters are reminded that the property operates on tank water and limited septic capacity, so consideration for other guests is appreciated.
Additional overflow camping is available at the nearby Recreation Reserve. This option is particularly intended for hunters staying only 1–3 nights.
The Recreation Reserve currently offers:
Hunters camping at the Recreation Reserve may be able to access cooking and shower facilities at the main camp venue, subject to confirmation and any applicable fee arrangements.
Indoor accommodation:
$50 per hunter, per night
Additional camping facility fees, if applicable, will be advised for Recreation Reserve campers wishing to access the main accommodation facilities.
Registrations will continue through the existing ADA online booking process.
Due to the limited indoor accommodation available, bed allocations will be prioritised according to the online registration date. Once indoor accommodation reaches capacity, hunters may be offered alternative arrangements including:
Members are asked to register only if they are fully intending to attend, as maintaining viable camp numbers is important for the ongoing operation of the venue arrangement.
It is anticipated that only a small number of committee members will be attending Camp 2, ensuring the majority of accommodation remains available to general members.
Hunting block allocations will continue to be coordinated based on hunter experience, vehicle capability, duration of stay, and booking timing. Hunters must remain within their allocated hunting areas each day for safety and management purposes.
Whether you are new to deer hunting or a seasoned hunter, the ADA National Hunting Camps remain a fantastic opportunity to experience premier Victorian deer country and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hunters around the fire after a day in the hills.
