You must pay your entry fee to the SSAA Eagle Park Complex at the main office when registering to receive the code to gain access to the boom gate.
Safe, responsible, ethical and skilled ADA members are invited to undertake the Deer Management Program Accreditation Course (DMPAC)that has been developed as a mechanism to facilitate ADA members to participate in Deer Management Programs (DMP) on land that is:
- Managed by Parks Victoria, where hunting is not presently permitted
- Managed by private landowners
- Managed by corporate organisations (agricultural, forestry, viticulture etc)
Aims and Objectives
The aim of the accreditation course is to ensure experienced ADA hunters are of a suitable standard of hunting proficiency so that they can hunt deer safely, responsibly, ethically and effectively as part of organised programs.

DMPAC Description, Requirements and Learning Outcomes
The DMPAC consists of two components – theory and practical marksmanship testing.
The theory test is a multiple choice questions and answers that can be obtained by clicking the link here.
Marksmanship testing requirements are:
- Using the participant’s own scoped rifle, in a minimum calibre of .270 or larger using 130gr or larger projectiles
- Achievement of a minimum standard (7 out of 8 shots) within a 15 centimetre kill zone full size Fallow deer target from the following positions – 2 shots each position;
- Bench (self-supported) @ 100m
- Standing post/tree supported position or prone position or standing unsupported position @ 100m
- Sitting position or kneeling position or standing unsupported position @ 75m
- Standing (unsupported) position at 50 metres
No supports are permitted for prone shooting (i.e. bipods, packs etc). Shooting sticks are permitted for standing supported position. Slings are permitted for offhand unsupported shooting.
Note: The course is not designed to provide training or skill up-lift to inexperienced deer hunters nor is it a vehicle to approach landowners to obtain exclusive access. Members found promoting this accreditation to gain exclusive access to private properties may be prohibited from participating in DMP and/or have their accreditation revoked.
