Volunteers needed to assist with bird surveys in the Tasmanian Highlands

The University of Tasmania is looking for volunteers to assist with bird surveys in a rehabilitating wetland in that states Central Highlands.

Researcher Zoë Ezzy is surveying a number of wetlands and lakes with a specific focus on the Lagoon of Islands Rehabilitation Project, in order to fill knowledge gaps and inform conservation efforts.

Trips will be up to five days staying near the sites (in a warm house) with accommodation, food and transport provided (ex Hobart).

Trips are planned throughout March 2020.

Volunteers will need a full and valid drivers licence.
