Started in 1976 as a print magazine for members of the Australian Deer Association, Australian Deer continues to evolve, both as a print publication and as a website, mobile app and audio podcast. 

Australian Deer fills a unique niche in Australian hunting and conservation media. It is the only mainstream publication that publishes regularly on deer management, conservation and political issues in addition to stories about hunting, wild food, bushcraft and the social aspects of the deer scene. 

In discussions around deer management and regulation in particular, having a strong and clear voice for active participants such as hunters is vital. Australian Deer continues to play this role whilst continually adapting the way we deliver the message in order to remain relevant to the growing numbers of people who are interested in wild deer in Australia.
